Last Monday my dad was still in town after the wedding and I took him to dinner at Lost and Found Saloon in Wynwood just down 36th St from the Shops at Midtown. I like Lost and Found a lot- it’s laidback and has really quality but simple food. It reminds me atmosphere-wise of some restaurants in Portland (kind of SE Portland vibe) so I thought my dad would like it. In between a sports bar and some art galleries it’s reasonably small with a lot of dark wood, Southwestern art and a couple tables of outdoor seating as well.
Lost and Found is a Southwestern restaurant with a variety of things on it’s menu. I used to go there a lot for Taco Tuesdays. There tacos are simple, but really good. Most items on the menu come vegetarian and then you can add-on a variety of meats. My favorites for the tacos are the steak and the chipotle-seared chicken. Both are super delicious, juicy, and tender and is great in the tacos with lettuce and tomato. I’ve also gotten different things other times like an omelet at brunch and ribs. Flavors are simple and wholesome but delicious.
I got tacos again- steak and chicken- as well as some herbed wings to start (also come in a variety of BBQ flavors). My dad got the salmon, which he said was really good. Their weekday happy hour from 3-7 has a variety of deals including 2-for-1 drinks and discounted food like the tacos (Taco Tuesday is discounted all day). If you’re looking for a laidback place for dinner or happy hour in the Midtown you should check out Lost and Found.
