Summer 2013 my family had a reunion in Sheboygan on Lake Michigan in Wisconsin. My grandfather had spent part of his childhood in Sheboygan before his family moved to Chicago. For many years a lot of my uncles and cousins had visited Sheboygan for a boys’ weekend. My trips back in the summer unfortunately hadn’t ever coincided. I was excited to visit Sheboygan and it was great to have my entire family there. Two posts below, including one for the gluten-frees!
- Il Ritrovo– one of my aunt’s favorite pizza places. She learned about it on a food show. Luckily they had gluten-free pizza! It seemed pretty authentic Neopolitan pizza. I liked the thin, crispy crust. Since this trip a lot of Miami restaurants have had a similar crust, so Il Ritrovo was ahead of the curve (at least ahead of Miami).
- Papa Murphy’s– Take n’ Bake Pizza. I haven’t been to this location specifically, but it has gluten-free crust (uses the Udi’s brand). Link to my post about trying their gluten-free crust in Portland.
