Discovering the “Chipotle” of Pizza- Pieology (Gluten-Free, Berkeley, San Francisco, Outside Trips)

My third day in San Francisco I headed back over to Berkeley for the first stop in a day of hanging out with my East Bay friends. I was meeting my friends who attend Cal for law school for lunch around campus first. I had a couple gluten-free Berkeley ideas from my research before my trip […]

Gluten-free flatbread-pizza crust in the Design District- Lemoni Pizza and Kitchen (Restaurants)

A few weeks ago it was my manager’s work “anniversary” and I had scheduled a lunch for our team to celebrate. It ended up being rescheduled twice, but yesterday the Outlook O-vite actually happened (although one team member was still missing). My manager suggested Lemoni Cafe or Lemoni Pizza and Kitchen. I was totally down […]

This seafood hater has come a long way- Mantanzas Innlet Restaurant (St. Augustine, Gluten-Free, Crab Cakes)

In my research into St. Augustine I early on came across a mention of a restaurant with gluten-free crab cakes. This really stuck with since I had only eaten crab cakes once before (and that was very recently) and I slowly have been expanding my seafood palette the last few years. Growing up I was […]

Sizzle is the sound of my brain overheating from all the choices- Sizzle Pie (Portland, Gluten-Free)

A little taste of Italy (and isolation from Miami) on the Upper Eastside- Ironside Pizza (Gluten-Free)

Given my love of food and the many years I’ve know that I have celiac (about 24), you can imagine that hearing or reading about a restaurant with special gluten-free options catches my attention pretty quickly and strongly. When it comes up in conversation or I overhear a mention, I’m actually pretty sure my reaction […]

Is it socially acceptable to just have multiple Pizookie’s for a meal?- BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse (Doral, Gluten-Free Pizza/Cookies)

Last year I was in Tallahassee for work and like most trips to other cities I did a search for gluten-free options. Tallahassee was where I first had the gluten-free awesomeness that is Jason’s Deli on an earlier trip. On this trip I was surprised to see that BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse had gluten-free pizza. […]

Not gluten-free deep dish, but still a solid gluten-free pizza- Giordano’s Famous Stuffed Pizza (Chicago/The Loop)

NOTE: As you can see in the comments below, the sauce at Giordano’s is apparently not gluten-free. I would call ahead and double check if you are celiac/super sensitive (if they think gluten-free crust is worth having, hopefully they’ll provide a gluten-free sauce alternative ASAP). I do not remember having a reaction luckily. Not sure […]
